"Twilight Creatures", originally named "Mostri Giapponesi", was the final project of my Bachelor degree in Fine Arts. Starting point of this serie was the representation of monsters in Japanese arts, focusing on some figures of the Japanese folklore.
The serie, consisting on a total of ten pieces realized with soft pastels and colored pencils on a gouache base, was a personal reinterpretation of some of this monstrous creatures and intended to create a contrast between the delicacy of the traits and the uncanny and eeriness of some details.
